Pilots remember these rules with the rhyme "eight hours from bottle to throttle." Other DrugsCaffeine and nicotine may cause problems at high altitudes. People who smoke are more prone to the affects of hypoxia, and those who drink significant amounts of caffeine may find its effect heightened by altitude. |
